“Sunday is the day of the Resurrection, it is the day of Christians, it is our day.” - St. Jerome
St. Jerome’s 4th century declaration above is as true today as it was that incredible life changing morning when Christ’s rising from the dead broke open a path to eternal life with Him. Unfortunately, the ceaseless tug of our 24/7 activity and work lives can keep us from remembering that.
God in His abundant generosity gave us six days of the week for our pursuits. He set aside one day and asked that we keep it holy with Him: a day of worship in Church, prayer at home, rest from ordinary labors, and relaxation with family and friends. This website is meant as an encouragement to honor that essential element of God’s plan for humanity: time set apart to rejoice with Him in joy, rest and relationship.
While this website is developed by Roman Catholics, it is open to everyone for application to their own tradition. It is an invitation to go deeper in the prayer of Sunday and find richer ways of honoring the Lord on His holy day.
